Website Build Check
A practical QA checklist for validating GolfBack website builds before launch or handoff, covering images, settings, theme parts, page content, posts, code elements, and events.
When to use this resource
Use this page when preparing a new build for launch, reviewing a course reskin, completing a final QA pass, or checking that site settings, content, and code elements have been updated to the correct course.
Images
Confirm all images are exported correctly, resized properly, named for the correct course, and uploaded into the right media structure before final review.
- Make sure images are sized correctly and renamed to the course.
- Use File > Export > Save Layers to Files and choose the destination.
- Export as JPG at quality 7.
- Save to OneDrive in the Hero Images or Web Images location as appropriate.
- In Media, create a new folder and upload images for the current course.
- Before uploading, make sure media is tagged with the course title.
- Confirm 1920x1080 versions exist where needed.
- Confirm 800x600 versions exist where needed.
Settings
Review core WordPress and front-page setup so the site identity and homepage metadata match the current course.
- General settings: verify the Site Title.
- General settings: verify the Site Icon.
- Front page / Elementor: update the title page to the current course name.
- Front page / Elementor: update the tag line to the same course name using lowercase words separated with hyphens.
Theme parts
Check global theme components so the site-wide branding, navigation, booking path, and footer system all match the current build.
- Header: verify the site logo.
- Menu system: confirm the correct menu structure.
- Booking URL: confirm the global booking link.
- Footer: confirm footer content is correct.
- Colors: confirm theme colors match the current course setup.
Page content update
Review every important page to make sure the build has been localized and fully updated for the active client site.
- Text is updated for the correct course.
- Images are updated for the correct course.
- Forms are correct, including contact forms and eClub forms.
- Buttons and links point to the right destinations.
- Featured image is set correctly.
- SEO title and description are updated.
Post content
If the build includes posts or blog content, confirm each post has the core content and SEO elements in place.
- Text is updated.
- Images are updated.
- Buttons and links are correct.
- Featured image is set.
- Post excerpt is completed.
- SEO title and description are updated.
Code elements
Validate the core technical and reusable code-driven elements that affect analytics, navigation, booking flow, accessibility, and organization.
- Google Analytics tag is installed correctly.
- Booking URL global link is correct.
- Golf Quick Actions sticky buttons are correct.
- Menu items are correct.
- Folder organization is clean and consistent.
- Alt text is added where needed.
Events
If the site needs event listings, confirm they have been created and configured where needed.
- Add events as necessary in M.E. Calendar.
Final QA rule
Before marking a build complete, verify that every global identifier, booking path, image set, SEO field, and form reflects the current course rather than the source template.
