Referral Program Playbook
A practical guide to the GolfBack Referral Program, including eligibility, rewards, qualified referral criteria, and the handoff process.
When to use this resource
Use this page when explaining the referral program to active clients, qualifying whether a prospect counts as a valid referral, or reminding yourself how the reward milestones and submission process work.
Program overview
The GolfBack Referral Program gives active clients a simple way to share GolfBack with other courses and earn cash rewards when those referrals become qualified opportunities and live clients.
- Share GolfBack and earn up to $500 cash per qualified referral.
- The program is designed to be low-friction for the client and easy for GolfBack to track from intro through live launch.
Who is eligible
The program is intended for active GolfBack clients currently using any product in the GolfBack suite.
- The referring client must be an active GolfBack client.
- The referral must be net-new to GolfBack.
- A referral does not qualify if the course is already in an active sales conversation or has been in the pipeline within the last 6 months.
Simple reward structure
Referral rewards are paid in stages as the referred course progresses from demo to launch to 90 days live.
- Demo completed: $50 cash.
- Signed and live: $200 cash when the referred course signs and goes live.
- 90 days live: $250 cash bonus after the course has been active for 90 days.
- Total potential reward: $500 cash for every qualified referral.
What counts as a qualified referral
Not every intro is a fit. Use these standards to determine whether the referred course or company matches the program criteria.
- 18-hole public course, strong 9-hole course, semiprivate course, or management company.
- Uses or is open to supported POS or tee-sheet integrations.
- Decision-maker is engaged, such as a GM, Head Pro, Owner, or Operations or Marketing lead.
- The intro is made through a group email with the client, GolfBack, and the prospect, or through the referral form with consent.
How to make a referral
The process is intentionally frictionless so clients can make an introduction quickly without a lot of extra work.
- Option 1: forward a quick intro email that includes GolfBack and the prospect.
- Option 2: submit the referral through the short form at golfbacksolutions.com/referral.
What happens next
Once the referral is submitted, GolfBack takes over the follow-up and keeps the referring client updated along the way.
- GolfBack responds within 1 business day.
- GolfBack books a discovery call.
- GolfBack keeps the client updated through each stage: Intro Received, Meeting Booked, Contract Sent, Live, and 90 Days.
Positioning note for clients
The referral program should be framed as a simple way for clients to help other golf courses take back control while being rewarded for making the connection.
- GolfBack helps more golf courses take back control of direct growth, and the referring client can earn up to $500 cash for helping make that happen.
Simple referral summary
Active GolfBack clients can refer net-new courses through a quick intro email or the referral form and earn up to $500 as the referral moves from demo to live status.
